Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) there are three options available to the delegates as follows

1) Fly from OR Tambo Int Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) and then coach transfer from the airport to Skukuza.

Flight schedules are detailed below and the transfer times are scheduled from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport at 09h30;10h30;11h30;13h00  and 14h30.

Brief Itinerary
Day One

Early morning departure by road for Mpumulanga.
Travel through the highveld farmlands and coal mining area of Witbank
before ascending into the Southern Escarpment.
This mountainous region is renowned for its spectacular scenic beauty of lakes,
deep valleys with indigenous forests, many waterfalls and quaint villages.

Interesting stops include the historical mining village of Pilgrims Rest, the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
Along this route there are also many craft places with African artifacts, basket ware, paintings and pottery on offer.

1 night accommodation in a hotel in the Hazyview / Sabi area d/b&b.

Day Two

Mid morning departure for Kruger National Park. 

1 night accommodation in a camp in the southern most sectors of the park d/b&b.

Day Three
Early morning departure for Skukuza. Take a slow journey through the park stopping for breakfast at one of the other camps. Arrive at Skukuza mid afternoon.

Price per person @ R4 850 (single supplement @ R750)

1) Panorama Day Tour available during the conference

A full day tour which takes you through an area of great scenic beauty winding through mountain ranges, cascading waterfalls and deep valleys. Interesting stops include God's Window, the Bourkes Luck Potholes - unusual rock sculptures formed by thousands of years of water erosion, the Blyde River Canyon one of the deepest canyons in the world and Pilgrims Rest which was once a mining village dating back to 1873. Now the entire village is a National Monument. Duration of the tour approx 8 hours.

Cape Town City Tour (half day)
A geographical and cultural orientation tour showing you Cape Town from its historical beginnings to the dazzling modern shopping malls of the Waterfront.

Highlights : Table Mountain - City Centre - Castle of Good Hope - South African Museum - The Company Gardens - Bo-Kaap – Traditional Malay Quarter - Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (S A ‘s most visited attraction)

The Grand Cape Peninsula Tour (full day)
An unforgettable journey to the mythical meeting place of the two great oceans. Breathtaking scenic beauty contrasts with the harsh rugged conditions of the most southwesterly edge of the African continent.

Highlights: Clifton beaches - Hout Bay and Mariners Wharf - Boat ride to view the seals (optional) - Chapmans Peak Drive (if open) / Ou Kaapse Weg - Cape Point and Nature Reserve - Penguin colony at Boulders Beach - Historic naval - port of Simon’s Town - Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens


TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • No services or accommodation have been reserved and are strictly subject to availability at the time of booking.

  • Services and accommodation reservations are arranged subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the respective service and accommodation providers.

  • 25% of the tour price is payable on a booking being made. Final payment is due and payable 30 days before departure of any tour or occupation of any accommodation or the use of any services, however Recreational Tours reserves the right to request full payment at an earlier date should it be called upon to make earlier payments to accommodation establishments or service providers.

  • Payment by way of credit cards (other than American Express credit card) is subject to a 2,75% surcharge on the price of the tours – the surcharge in respect of American Express credit cards is 3,25%.

  • All prices and rates are quoted in ZA Rand and if requested also in Euro’s or US$ or British Sterling. Euro’s, US$ or British Sterling will be accepted at the rate of exchange applied by the bankers of Recreational Tours at the time of receipt of payment. Any shortfall upon the conversion of such foreign currency to ZA Rand resulting from exchange rate fluctuations will be for the account of the client.

  • Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are also subject to adjustment in the event of changes in taxes or levies, supplier price structures and in the event of alternative accommodation/services having to be sourced.

  • Cancellation penalties will be subject to the cancellation terms and conditions applied by service and accommodation providers and an administration fee will be applied.

  • All tour itineraries and travel arrangements are subject to alterations or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances. (E.g. weather) etc.

  • Agents and/or passengers are required to ensure that all health requirements and precautions, valid passports and visas are attended to, as Recreational Tours accepts no responsibility in this regard.

  • Passengers are advised to arrange adequate insurance in the event of cancellation due to illness, accident or injury, insurance against personal accident, medical assistance, personal liability, loss of baggage and sports equipment and such other insurance cover that is recommended by a passengers insurance broker. Recreational Tours accepts no responsibility for any losses or damages sustained by any passenger of any nature arising from whatsoever cause.

  • Passengers must check in at the airport a minimum of 1 hour prior to flight departure for all South African domestic flights and 2 hours for International departures from South Africa. All flights to be confirmed with the airline by passengers a minimum of 72 hours prior to departure.

  • Recreational Tours shall not be responsible for the consequences of any delays whether arising from accidents, breakdowns, or any other cause.

  • The law of the Republic of South Africa shall govern the relationship between Recreational Tours and the passenger and /or Agent and the Courts of the Republic South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction in respect of any claims and / or disputes which may arise between Recreational Tours and the passenger and / or Agent.
